An Intimate Home for Orlando Music and Community

Blue Bamboo Center For The Arts

Founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Chris and Melody Cortez, Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts was created to offer an intimate, high-quality space where music and community come together. Chris, a musician and producer, envisioned a studio designed for live audiences, while Melody, a visual artist, helped shape a welcoming and well-run environment.

What began in a modest warehouse in Winter Park quickly became a respected listening room known for exceptional sound, thoughtful production, and world-class talent. Jazz sits at the heart of Blue Bamboo’s programming, alongside R&B, Classical, Flamenco, Blues, Folk, and more.

Community is central to everything Blue Bamboo does. The organization supports collaboration among artists, arts education, benefit concerts, and accessible performances for all.

In 2024, Blue Bamboo entered a new chapter, moving into the former Winter Park library at 460 East New England Avenue. This expanded space allows for multiple stages, education programs, and deeper community engagement, while staying true to the intimate experience that defines Blue Bamboo.
